06 Jan Free Entrance Days to the National Parks

The U.S. National Parks Service has now celebrated its Centennial birthday, and in 2017, they’re continuing special free entrance days to all parks around the country. We’re big fans of the National Parks, and we highly encourage our readers to explore them whenever possible!

Although hundreds of national parks are free year round, the big ones do charge a daily or weekly entry fee – with the exception of the following remaining fee-free days for 2017:

  • Feb 20: President’s Day
  • April 15-16 & April 22-23: National Park Week Weekends
  • August 25: National Parks Service Birthday
  • September 30: National Public Lands Day
  • November 11-12: Veterans Day

Bonus Tip: If you’re thinking about visiting multiple parks this year (like we did on our Epic Road Trip) we recommend purchasing the $80 Annual Pass.

P.S. We have lots of posts about the National Parks we’ve visited from our two epic road trips, including photos, videos, and info about our favorite hiking trails. Visit our National Parks page!

Pin this for later or share with a friend!
