Welcome to Intentional Travelers!
Join us to discover travel beyond the typical vacation.
Hello, traveler! We are Michelle and Jedd. We quit our jobs in 2011 to become Peace Corps Volunteers. After our two year service in Jamaica, we stumbled upon travel hacking and the digital nomad lifestyle. Now we work online while visiting different places around the world.
We want to show you how to make travel easier, more affordable, and more meaningful.
You can learn more about our background and philosophy on our About page.
* Intentional Travelers love meaningful, cross-cultural experiences. This is how travel transforms us.
* We seek out good value to make the most of our travel budget.
* We prefer slow travel to get a sense of local life, rather than ticking attractions off a list.
Join us on the journey to life-changing experiences around the world.
For full access to all of the paid resources, travel tutorials, and exclusive tips we share, our Intentional Travelers Toolkit Membership enrollment opens twice per year. In the meantime, you can get started for free with our e-newsletter.

These are some of our favorite adventures so far:
- We can’t get enough of Hoi An, Vietnam
- Our first true digital nomad stay: 6 weeks in Cuenca, Ecuador
- The Etruscan Coast: a corner of Tuscany that we discovered through an amazing volunteer exchange (Cooking in Tuscany)
- We love hiking in beautiful places like Banff, Canada; the Swiss Alps; Glacier National Park; Sintra, Portugal; Oahu, Hawaii; and more.
- Cities are fun on foot, too! We have self-guided walking tour itineraries for Paris, Brussels, Florence, Lisbon, and more.
